A quick trip to the grocery store......

.....for three onions and I came home with.....

......a trailing pansy......

.........a red primrose...............

..........a double purple hyacinth.......

and a tray of miniature daffodils.

After planting the flowers, this is what we have to greet us at our door.

Remember this: "One cannot live on onions alone!"

Do you have something beautiful to greet you at your door?

  4. A woman after my own heart. I remember the early days of my marriage. We had no money to spare, yet I would bring home plants with the groceries. Yes, we need onions and flowers !

I love the trailing pansy, don't think I've ever seen any before.

  5. Love your post. I do have flowers greeting friends at my door. A tall red, narrow pottery pot, purchased at Al's, is filled with blue and bright yellow giant pansies. Love 'em.
