Paint Party Friday/Camas Lilies

Welcome to my Paint Party Friday sharing!
I am draw to nature, as many are, and especially to this particular flower.  It grows in wet areas, during the Spring months in the Northwest, and is known to have been used as food during the Lewis and Clark expeditions.  Sacajawea dug the bulb and cooked them for dinner!

These two paintings are about 7" X 9".  I used a delicate palette of cobalt blue, Aurelian and Rose Madder.
Have a good week ahead!

Five tiny pumkins. For family.

Five tiny pumpkins were carved while we enjoyed the company of family from three sides of our family tree this past weekend.  We ate, laughed, talked and enjoyed some pretty nice outdoor weather.

It's was an honor to have all of these loved ones in our barn for some low key fun.  I don't really have a story to tell except gathering like this is not taken lightly. We love this time of life!
